Ordnance Survey
go
Over the next five years, Siemens IT Solutions and Services will be the
e-business partner of Ordnance Survey, consulting and assisting
the implementation of a new enterprise software suite to replace
their current back office systems, moving from the current mix
of "off the shelf" and in-house solutions to mySAP.com products.
Vehicle and Operator Services Agency
go
We have developed a new system to support the administration of
the MOT Scheme for the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency:
reducing fraud, improving efficiency and standards and enhancing
the service to the public. We have installed PCs in over 18,700
MOT testing stations, all linked to a central database. In the
10-year contract, we have trained 55,000 testers, distribute MOT
certificates and operate call and service centres. Rollout to
over 19,000 locations throughout GB was completed in March 2006
and, by 28 March 2007, 50 million MOT tests had been
successfully recorded on the system.
National Assembly for Wales
go
Our team designed, built and implemented a groundbreaking set of
solutions, which include touch screens in the Chamber, document
management systems, an Intranet and video conferencing
facilities. We have implemented and manage 3,500 PCs and
associated infrastructure across the Assembly.
BBC
go
In September 2004, the BBC awarded Siemens IT Solutions and Services a
10 year ITO contract to provide technology services to the BBC
worldwide. As part of the deal, Siemens acquired BBC
Technology, and has transferred approximately 1400 former BBC
Technology employees into Siemens IT Solutions and Services. The scope of the service includes
provision of all technology services for the BBC, convergence of
broadcast, telecoms and IT to a single IT platform, and a new
infrastructure is being planned. |
